Sorry it’s been awhile since we’ve written a post, we’ve been busy putting some great Madness of Motherhood Shows together for you! We decided it’s that time of year that most of us are getting back into the school routines (even if it’s pre-school) and we need to get ourselves, our homes, our offices and even our kids organized for smoother days so we’ve lined up some fantastic guests that will give us the tools we need to do just that.

We’ll introduce you to some great products that we love and you’ll hear from the moms who invented them. These women are amazing and will inspire you to get organized or maybe even start your own business.

Also, we know the term “Balanced Mom” may or may not be a reality but at least we are going to try to find that sense of being balanced while managing our families, our houses, our careers and all the ONE MILLION other things we do on a daily basis. So, you will learn some great advice from our guests on trying to find balance. You will love what our guests share with you.

Show #9 focuses on Child Safety

This week’s show focuses on one of the most important issues we face as parents….keeping our kids safe. Unfortunately, we live in a much different world than when we grew up. Those days of heading out the door after breakfast and then coming home just to eat dinner are over, certainly in Central Florida. I’m sure that in some places in this country, kids can still run freely through their communities, but our kids are forced to play inside fenced yards or most of the time, inside the house because we need to make sure we know where they are at all times.

However, kids nowadays are computer experts and even show mom and dad a few things from time to time online. With that comes an ever increasing way for predators to seek out our kids and lure them into topics and conversations they should never have to come face to face with.

That’s why our guest this week is very important. We welcome Jeff Griesemer from the Child Rescue Network, a national organization that’s headquartered right here in Central Florida. Jeff shares with us very important information on how to keep our kids safe while they are out with us shopping and while they are inside our own homes, surfing the internet. His website www.childrescuenetwork.org is full of tips for parents and we urge you to visit the site and take the time to listen to his advice.

We can let our kids have fun and not feel like we are on top of them all the time, but it takes some planning and dedication from the whole family to communicate about. It really is a family issue and we hope this show will help you have some conversations with your kids on safety.

Hello Central Florida Moms!

The Madness of Motherhood Show is here…just in time for Mother’s Day. This show is our tribute to moms all over Central Florida. We are so excited to bring this show to you and hope you will allow us to be your voice, your friend and your place for inspiration and laughter as we all enjoy the most important role we have….being a mom! Our first show will introduce you to some wonderful moms who we think you will find inspiring if you have ever thought of starting your own business or have an idea that other moms would benefit from. Our first guest is Grace Welch, the inventor and creator of The Patemm Pad. She was recently featured on Oprah’s “Millionaire Moms” show and she shares with us how becoming a mom inspired her wonderful product and how she got the call from the Oprah Show to go to Chicago and expose the world to her round changing pad! You will love her and quickly realize she’s just like all of us!

Our other guests this week include two local moms who are great examples of finding thier niche after becoming moms. Nikki Blanton is the owner of Hopscoth Boutique near downtown Orlando which was recently named “Top 100 Cool Boutiques” by Child Magazine. She’s the mother of a 4-year old daughter and talks about following your dreams and balancing it all. She has also just launched a second business that is a wonderful solution for moms who love flowers, but are disappointed that they never last very long.
